Sophia Wingen studied psychology at Saarland University (B.Sc.) and the University of Cologne (M.Sc.). During her studies, she focused on the psychological effects of technological innovations. She gained practical experience as a working student in the automotive industry, where she worked on topics such as autonomous driving and electromobility. She also co-founded a platform for digital psychological support services.
After completing her master's degree, Sophia Wingen began her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne. In her research, she focuses on the psychological impact of digital payment and checkout technologies, as well as the economic decisions that result. Sophia also holds a role as a lecturer and researcher at the Chair of Behavioral Economics and Intercultural Psychology at the Fernuniversität in Hagen.
