Call for articles on topical issues

We are currently looking to publish articles on a series of specific themes that we know people are generally very interested in learning more about. This is an invitation to all those interested in writing an article on any of the themes or specific topics listed below to please submit a short abstract on a future article idea. If your abstract is accepted, we will invite you to submit a full length-article to the magazine, which will then be reviewed. Your abstract should be around 150–250 words long, and we wish to have your abstract before October 28th.

Children and parenting
Example topics: What does research say about screen time for toddlers and children? What are the mental health effects of becoming a parent?

Deception
Example topics: Is it possible to see whether someone is lying or telling the truth? Why are people so good at lying?

Love and relationships
Example topics: What does research tell us about the viral phenomenon of the “five love languages”? How to have “good” fights/arguments with your partner or friends?

Clinical psychology and mental health
Example topics: What do we know about the prevalence and prognosis of ADHD in adults?  How does the widespread sharing of ADHD-related memes on social media impact the perception and diagnosis of ADHD in adults? What are the promises and pitfalls of online self-diagnosis?

Aging
Example topics: How do people’s cognitive abilities change with age? How does retirement affect people’s well-being?

Politics
Example topic: What psychological factors contribute to the rise and appeal of far-right movements in contemporary politics? Are female politicians perceived differently?

Media
Example topics: How does social media use affect our well-being and health? Do influencers play a role in shaping our health choices? Are filter bubbles real, and how do they shape our perspectives? How influential is online misinformation on public views, including health and politics?

Artificial intelligence (AI)
Example topic: How is the rise of AI affecting human behavior, workplace dynamics, and mental well-being? How does interacting with AI, such as chatbots or virtual assistants, impact our social skills and interpersonal relationships?
